What is the reason for this recall?
Honda Motor Co., Ltd. is conducting a RECALL of certain EU22i Generators due to a potential fuel leak from the Fuel Cock. Honda has determined that loose or miss-installed screws can cause the fuel to leak during operation, storage or transportation and in the worst case, could cause a FIRE, although there have been no reported cases to date.

What should I do if I own one?
Please contact your nearest, or preferred, authorised Honda Power Equipment dealer to book your unit in for the repair. Please do not take your unit to a dealer unless you have contacted them first to arrange the repair because the dealer needs to order the parts required for your unit, depending on the frame number. You should confirm with the Dealer how long you will need to leave your generator at the dealership for the repair to be completed. The dealer will replace the affected components at no cost to you.

What is the reason for this recall?
Honda motor Co., Ltd. is conducting a RECALL of certain EU22i Generators due to a potential Overheating risk in the Inverter of the unit. Honda has determined that moisture entry into the Inverter Coupler may cause corrosion, resulting in increased resistance and, in the worst case, could cause a FIRE.
How do I know if mine is impacted?

What should you do?
Please contact an authorised Honda Power Equipment Dealer to arrange to have your EU22i repaired, at your earliest possible opportunity.
A limited supply of replacement parts are arriving on a regular basis, however, please seek advice from your chosen dealer on the estimated time of arrival of the parts to complete your repair.
The dealer will be able to tell you how long you will need to leave your EU22i at the dealership for the repair, to enable them to allocate the time to complete your repair.
The dealer will complete the repairs at no cost to yourself.
If you must use the generator in the meantime, please ensure good airflow around the unit, and check that the sides of generator do not become "HOT" during usage.
