What is the reason for this recall?
Honda Australia Motorcycle & Power Equipment Pty Ltd. is conducting a RECALL of certain HRU - Lawn Mower due to a potential fuel leak from the Float Chamber on the carburettor. Honda has determined that due to misalignment of the float chamber during fuel removal on the production line. The float chamber may not have been installed correctly on the carburettor body and can cause the fuel to leak during operation, storage or transportation and in the worst case, could cause a FIRE, although there have been no reported cases to date.
How do I know if mine is impacted?
Units impacted were sold between 3 September 2018 and 21 February 2019.
What should I do if I own one?
Call any authorised Honda Power Products dealer and make an appointment to have the Float Chamber on the carburettor inspected and replaced if necessary. Your Honda dealer can inform you of the length of time required to complete this repair. The dealer will inspect and if required replace the affected components at no cost to you.
